Hello! I’m Krishell!
Specializing in curly cutting, coloring, styling, and helping folks learn how to care for and love their unique hair texture is my passion! I am excited to be serving the curly community in St. Paul and all of Minnestoa and nearby states!
It began with my own struggle trying to figure out what to do with my frizzy hair, which I thought was “not the nice kind of straight hair”. I know many of you have felt this way! If you have always known you have curly, super curly, and/or tight curls, you’re in the right place too! Whichever hair type you have I hope to help you to find a hair shape/style that you feel good in! We’ll work together to find products and create a simple routine that work for YOU and help your life to run a little easier!
I know how important it is to have a space to come talk about your hair, where you feel seen, heard, and safe to process all the things you love and don't about your hair. All of my New Client services have extra time built in so we can talk and/or just sit with some of what comes up when talking about hair history. And then together we will create a plan that works for you - your specific hair and your exact life that will have you feeling empowered and confident.
I got into hair in middle school and have been coloring my own hair ever since! While I felt too shy to go to beauty school after high school, I finally started my cosmetology education in 2016! I have been working exclusively with curly hair since I graduated. I have never been more in love with my clients and my craft.
I am proud of all of my curly education which includes, Deva Cut and Pintura Highlights Level 3 Certified Master stylist. As well as Level 1 RezoCut and RezoLites Highlighting Certifired. And a few other smaller Instagram folks I’ve been blessed to take classes with. From big transformations to regular upkeep for shape and hair health, I love it all and thrive on meeting people exactly where they are in their hair journey.
When I’m not in the salon, I enjoy exploring local restaurants and shops, cooking and camping, hanging with friends and family. During the winter you can catch me knitting and crocheting while watching the latest Netflix show. Originally, I'm from San Diego, I’ve also lived in Idaho and Washington state. The Twin Cities has been my home for 14 years now. I adore baby and pet pics, so please share! I have two cats, a dog, teenagers, and an amazing partner accompanying me in this wild world. I like yoga, barre and pilates and long walks hopefully near water. I love the ocean, my natural hair color is most definitely purple and I love all things astrology and woo woo!
